Dr.Kester J. Nedd is the founder, Chairman and CEO of JIPA Network, LLC, (JIPA) a global network of health care providers, facilities, diagnostic centers, hospitals and ancillary service providers. JIPA connects patients domestically and internationally to top-tier providers and facilities, along with reduced rates for these health care services. JIPA’s network of providers was developed by Dr. Nedd and his colleagues, leveraging their vast experience of developing and managing health care provider networks, technology companies and his knowledge as a practicing physician.
As an information technology expert and entrepreneur, Dr. Nedd has been involved in the design, development and implementation of highly complicated health care information systems required to make health care more accessible and efficient. His extensive experience in working on systems for self-funded health plans, managed care plans, insurance companies, payer systems and provider network organizations is the cornerstone of JIPA’s services. He is the founder of several technology companies involved in the delivery of health care services.
Dr. Nedd is a Board Certified Neurologist with subspecialty training in Neurological Rehabilitation and Neuro-Trauma. Dr. Nedd currently serves as the Managing Partner of Design Neuroscience Center and is a Voluntary Associate Professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery. Dr. Nedd is the Medical Director at the University of Miami’s Sports Center (USports) and is the Director of the Concussion Program.
Dr. Nedd completed his medical training at the Kansas City University of Bioscience and Medicine and received his post-graduate Neurology and Neurological Rehabilitation training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
His passion and his focus has always been on caring for patients with catastrophic neurological injuries and other neurological disorders in South Florida, the Caribbean and Latin America. Dr. Nedd served as the Medical Director of Jackson International for over a decade at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. He was involved in the development and implementation of models designed to streamline and triage care for individuals with catastrophic medical conditions in both the Caribbean and Latin America. Dr. Nedd served as the Medical Director of Neurologic Rehab at the internationally acclaimed Ryder Trauma Center.
Dr. Nedd is a well-recognized educator and was instrumental in the development of the post-graduate Neurological Rehabilitation Fellowship Training Program at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Health System. Dr. Nedd is a sought after speaker in Neurorehabilitation, Neuropharmacology, Neuro-trauma, International Medical Care, and Health Care System Development. Throughout the years he has consulted on several government projects in the region, including health care policy and national health insurance initiatives.
Dr. Nedd was born in Grenada, West Indies and currently resides in Miami, Florida.
